Lately I’ve been reading a book a week but last week when I finished Change of heart  I didn’t have time to go to the book store so I picked up a random checkout book and hoped for the best.  Well I think the person who gave the review of “Skip it” best described how I felt too-  absolutely no depth to the book.  The narration skips from one character to another and it takes about 2 pages to realize who is speaking.  On the front cover it says “A Pulitzer Prize winning author”  hmm it fails to mention this was won in 1988 and maybe twenty years ago she was a prize winning author but I don’t think she should be still riding on those coat-tails any longer.  So hoping to refrain from another disappointing read S and I headed to chapters on Saturday to pick up some books and now I’m reading Firefly lane which so far is pretty good, although i’m only about 140 pages in on a 496 page book so I could be hopeing for the best.  I’ve also discovered that chapters instore is a ripoff, We paid 78.15 for 3 books and when I check them out online I could have saved over 18 bucks!  needless to say i’m sticking to online shopping, I hate malls anyway.

 

S has met some guys at work lately that he seems to really get along with so on friday he arranged for me to hang out with one of their wives and he would go watch a WFC fight with the guys at the local bar.  Of course I’m super shy when thrown into complete strangers but I decided that I might have a good time.  The woman D was having a card stampin’ party and I’m all up for crafts, she had about 12 woman, tons of food and the card making was great.  I had such a good time and all the guys came back from the bar very drunk, it was amusing to see S like that as he hardly drinks.  I hope we can hang out with them again, i’m sure we will as D loves quilting too.

A is the best sleeper, all you have to do it put her in bed with her stuffed rabbit “fred” and she goes to sleep the whole night, naps are easy too and she sleeps for about 2 hours then.  I bragged and gloated about how good of a sleeper she was until my foot was stuffed firmly in my mouth for the past two weeks.  She has been waking up 1-2 times a night now, mostly just for me to get up and give her back Fred or tuck the blankets around her.  But this new routine of hers is killing me, I had gotten used to not waking up with her and now BANG! twice a night i’m woken up for my sleep.  Ugh it is not like I can even sleep in later as i’ve got to be up by 5:10 to leave for work.  I really must get her back to not waking up!

 

So today I sleep deprived and my whole body hurts from cardio boot camp yesterday, and crazy me I signed up for additional days for boot camp.  I’m very determined to get back to a 130lbs.
